Account Executive, SMB Grower (CEE)

About this role

Own a portfolio of high-growth small and midsize businesses across the CEE segment, winning new business and growing existing Stripe accounts. Advise customers on Stripe solutions, guide technical evaluations through activation, and work with cross-functional teams to improve adoption and retention.

What you'll do

• Manage a named account portfolio and develop plans to win and expand SMB business
• Prospect and advise customers on tailored Stripe solutions for their growth needs
• Guide complex evaluations through activation and adoption with Product, Risk, and Operations
• Grow existing accounts through upselling, retention, and deeper product adoption
• Build executive relationships and represent Stripe in the local business ecosystem
• Collaborate on go-to-market initiatives and internal efficiency improvements

What we're looking for

• 2–3 years of solution-sales experience with successfully closed and onboarded deals
• Sales experience with startups or small and midsize businesses
• Ability to understand the Stripe API and build relationships with technical customers
• Comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel and attend industry events

Nice to have

• Sales or customer-facing experience at a high-growth technology company
• Knowledge of technology, payments, and related products
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfort discussing API-first solutions
• Fluency in Polish or Romanian
