What you'll do

• Build and evolve Superhuman Mail’s MCP tools and standards.
• Design and ship agentic workflows and personalization features at scale.
• Build evaluation systems to measure quality and detect regressions.
• Assess and select models for different tasks.
• Provide AI building blocks to teams across Superhuman.
• For the ML-leaning variant, shape modeling approaches and data generation.

What we're looking for

• 4–6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend foundation.
• Production experience building LLM-powered features, such as agents or agentic loops.
• Experience building evaluations to measure and improve LLM quality.
• Working ML knowledge to reason about model selection and tradeoffs.
• Comfort with ambiguity, changing priorities, and quick iteration.
• Strong ownership, bias to action, and a growth mindset.

Nice to have

• Go experience.
• Familiarity with MCP servers or tools.
