What you'll do
- Build and evolve Mail’s MCP tools and standards for agent experiences
- Design and ship agentic workflows and personalization at scale
- Create evaluation systems to measure quality and catch regressions
- Select and explore models for different tasks
- Provide AI building blocks to teams across Superhuman
- For the ML-leaning variant, help shape modeling approaches and data generation
What we're looking for
- 4–6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend foundation
- Production experience shipping LLM-powered features, such as agents or agentic loops
- Experience building evaluations to measure and improve LLM quality
- Working ML knowledge for reasoning about model selection and tradeoffs
- Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Strong ownership, bias to action, and growth mindset
Nice to have
- Go experience
- Familiarity with MCP servers or tools
- Python or TypeScript backend experience
