AI Platform Engineer, Enablement and Governance Operations

The AI Platform Engineer will design and build the technical layer of an AI platform, ensuring safe and efficient usage across the organization. Responsibilities include owning the governed integration gateway, building internal tooling, and implementing technical controls for data handling.

What you'll do

• Design and build the technical layer of the AI platform.
• Own the governed integration gateway and handle connector onboarding.
• Build internal tooling that extends the platform.
• Configure and operate tiered spend controls across the AI estate.
• Implement technical controls for data handling and model eligibility.
• Work directly with teams to enable their workflows.
• Run technical enablement sessions.
• Administer the enterprise AI estate end to end.

What we're looking for

• Experience administering enterprise SaaS platforms for 1,000+ users.
• Ability to build and ship working software, preferably in Python.
• Experience integrating LLM and SaaS APIs.
• Working knowledge of identity and access management.
• Operational discipline with documented processes.
• Strong communication skills for technical documentation.
• Judgment on necessary capabilities versus temporary solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with internal developer or AI platforms.
• Exposure to FinOps or software asset management.
• Experience with low code or workflow automation platforms.
• Depth in administration of Atlassian tools.
• Familiarity with regulated industry frameworks.
