What you'll do

  • Select, integrate, operate, and maintain drones, ground robots, and other autonomous platforms.
  • Build integrations and automation that bring detections, telemetry, and fleet health into security monitoring.
  • Develop detection and evidence-handling processes for uncrewed systems near sites.
  • Secure automated vehicles and robots operating within secure areas.
  • Set site-specific operating constraints and coordinate required approvals with authorities.
  • Define and test health monitoring, lost-link alerts, and fail-secure behavior.
  • Write vendor requirements and evaluate systems against live flights and runs.

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience engineering autonomous or sensing systems used in a real operation.
  • Experience integrating vendor systems and telemetry into platforms designed to outlast individual components.
  • Ability to review code, design data systems, and build automation using Git and code review.
  • Experience supporting data centers, critical infrastructure, or large hardware fleets.
  • Experience making engineering decisions under regulatory or safety constraints.
  • Ability to own a domain end to end and operate it with vendors, site operators, partners, and authorities.

Nice to have

  • FAA Part 107 certification or experience with beyond-visual-line-of-sight flight under a waiver or exemption.
  • Experience with counter-UAS detection, airspace surveillance, or air traffic data systems.
  • Experience operating industrial, logistics, or data center robot and drone fleets.
  • Experience securing embedded, operational technology, or robotic systems.
  • Experience with large-site physical security, law enforcement, aviation authorities, or cloud and colocation operators.
  • Experience building AI agents or automation that replaces recurring manual work.
