Commercial Counsel, Bridge

About this role

Provide transactional legal support for Bridge, Stripe’s stablecoin infrastructure business. Lead strategic commercial negotiations, advise on product launches and international expansion, and help build scalable legal processes and tools.

Bridge and Stripe Commercial Legal, partnering with Bridge’s commercial, product, engineering, operations, tax, compliance, and risk teams.

Stack

What you'll do

• Lead negotiations for complex user and partner agreements
• Advise on stablecoin products, launches, and international expansion
• Partner with product and engineering teams to bring features to market
• Build and maintain commercial agreements, playbooks, and scalable legal processes
• Use AI tooling to improve legal workflows
• Train Bridge’s commercial team and serve as an escalation point for outside counsel

What we're looking for

• JD or foreign equivalent and good-standing membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 8+ years of relevant experience in-house or in a technology practice at a top law firm
• Familiarity with legal issues and commercial risks in fintech, stablecoins, hosted data, and technology services
• Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, crypto, or stablecoins and related regulatory issues
• In-house experience advising high-growth companies
• Working knowledge of LLMs or experience improving legal processes with AI
• Knowledge of CCPA, GDPR, or HIPAA
