What you'll do
- Define facility operations strategy, SLAs, incident management, and reporting
- Oversee third-party deployment, commissioning, and maintenance of facility infrastructure
- Set operational standards and monitoring practices to minimize risk and manage incidents
- Improve time to market and equipment availability while controlling cost and complexity
- Scale operations through optimized materials, logistics, and physical processes
- Manage partner relationships and align their work with Anthropic’s goals
What we're looking for
- 10+ years of data center facility operations experience
- Proven track record overseeing mission-critical systems
- Expertise in facility operations processes, including deployment, commissioning, and maintenance
- Experience managing third-party partners
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
- 15+ years managing large-scale data center operations
- Understanding of AI/ML workload requirements for power, cooling, and network connectivity
- Experience with rear-door heat exchangers or cooling distribution units
- Experience managing colocation operators or contract staffing vendors
- Familiarity with commissioning plans, criteria, and handover reviews
