What you'll do
- Partner with product, engineering, and research leaders on model roadmaps, launch decisions, and strategic priorities
- Set the data science agenda and define success metrics and measurement frameworks
- Hire, manage, and develop data scientists
- Lead high-stakes analyses and establish standards for experimentation and causal inference
- Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Build foundational data practices and analytics infrastructure
What we're looking for
- Extensive data science experience leading analytics for a product or research area at significant scale
- At least 3 years managing data science teams, including hiring and developing senior data scientists
- Examples of influencing senior leaders and changing roadmaps or high-stakes decisions
- Strong product judgment and ability to make recommendations amid ambiguity
- Expertise in experimental design, causal inference, and statistical modeling at scale
- Fluency in Python and SQL
- Strong written and presentation communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/ML products, large language models, or AI/ML developer tools
- Experience as a tech lead manager or player-coach
- Experience building or scaling a data science team
- Experience partnering with Product or Research teams on AI products
- Comfort working with unstructured data
