Develop and operate the production services behind 1Password’s Device Trust authentication service. The role focuses on improving reliability, observability, resilience, and safe evolution of a critical authentication path.

Stack

What you'll do

• Build and improve Device Trust services
• Improve production reliability, observability, and operability through software and automation
• Work across application code, cloud infrastructure, networking, deployment systems, and operational tooling
• Help establish safer ways to change and validate critical systems
• Participate in incident response and turn operational lessons into lasting improvements

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of software development experience
• Experience with backend services, APIs, distributed systems, or other reliability-sensitive software
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails
• Use observability tools to assess system health and investigate issues
• Care about testing, maintainability, and clear code and documentation
• Take ownership of scoped problems and communicate progress and blockers clearly

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Experience with Datadog
• Experience with Terraform
