Digital Native AI Account Executive

About this role

Own a portfolio of AI-native startup accounts and drive sales of AssemblyAI’s Voice AI infrastructure, from prospecting through initial production rollout. Build pipeline, lead technical evaluations, develop internal champions, and close complex deals with engineering and product leaders.

What you'll do

• Own the full sales cycle for AI-native startup accounts, from prospecting through production rollout
• Generate pipeline through personalized outbound, conferences, events, and warm introductions
• Create tailored benchmarks, competitive insights, and use-case demos for prospects
• Build champions and consensus among technical and product decision-makers
• Position AssemblyAI against alternatives and maintain deal momentum through complex sales cycles
• Partner with customer, technology, research, engineering, and marketing teams on customer experience and go-to-market strategy

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of infrastructure or API sales experience with engineering and product buyers
• Proven ability to build pipeline from scratch and break into cold accounts
• Technical fluency in API architectures, model accuracy tradeoffs, and deployment options
• Experience developing internal customer champions
• High ownership and urgency in moving deals forward
• Knowledge of procurement, legal, and security reviews
• Willingness to travel 50%+ of each month
