Engineering Manager

Lead and develop a software engineering team building reliable, scalable product capabilities. Stay technically engaged in Java-based systems while partnering with Product and engineering stakeholders to plan delivery, improve engineering practices, and guide architecture.

What you'll do

• Coach engineers and support their performance and career development
• Own team delivery, execution, and engineering health
• Partner with Product to turn priorities into executable technical plans
• Contribute to architecture, design, and technical decisions
• Improve code review, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and documentation practices
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt, scalability, and reliability
• Use engineering metrics and qualitative signals to improve team effectiveness
• Coordinate dependencies and blockers across teams

What we're looking for

• Several years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and its ecosystem
• Experience leading or managing software engineering teams
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, APIs, distributed systems, and CI/CD
• Understanding of software quality, automated testing, observability, security, and operational excellence
• Experience with engineering effectiveness and delivery metrics, including DORA or flow metrics
• Practical experience with AI coding tools and agents
• Strong people-management, communication, and product collaboration skills
