What you'll do
- Lead, hire, coach, and manage a team of full-stack engineers.
- Own delivery from early releases through measurement and iteration.
- Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap using customer feedback and usage data.
- Review code and guide architecture and technical standards.
- Improve testing, observability, and AI-assisted development practices.
What we're looking for
- At least 2 years of direct software engineering management experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience building and operating production applications.
- Recent hands-on technical experience within the last 3–4 years.
- Strong technical foundation for leading architecture discussions and reviewing code.
- Excellent communication skills and a people-first, empathetic leadership approach.
- Ability to make decisions quickly, experiment, and adapt based on evidence.
Nice to have
- Experience leading production launches of LLM-powered features, including evaluation, quality monitoring, and cost management.
- Experience with AI agents, retrieval systems, knowledge graphs, or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
