Engineering Manager, Infrastructure (Privy)

About this role

Lead Privy’s infrastructure team and own its long-term impact on the product and business. Set the infrastructure vision across reliability, developer tooling, secure enclaves, and Bring Your Own Cloud deployments, while remaining hands-on as a player-coach.

What you'll do

• Set the infrastructure team’s long-term direction and priorities
• Lead infrastructure work spanning service definition, reliability engineering, and developer tooling
• Ensure quality, throughput, and performance meet a high bar
• Align projects and technical decisions with business impact
• Review code and design docs, and investigate incidents as a player-coach
• Coach engineers and foster a supportive, high-performing team culture

What we're looking for

• Strong experience managing and leading engineering teams
• Technical excellence to evaluate designs, code quality, and technical feedback
• Ownership mindset and ability to drive business impact
• High emotional maturity, insightfulness, and care

Nice to have

• Experience designing systems for hundreds of millions of users
• Experience with secure enclaves such as AWS Nitro Enclaves
• Experience with observability, incident response, capacity planning, performance tuning, or infrastructure automation
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput trading or payment systems
• Experience with public-cloud and Bring Your Own Cloud architectures
