What you'll do
- Lead engineering planning and execution for clear, useful testing experiences
- Shape the strategy and roadmap with Product, Design, Infrastructure, Marketing, and Operations
- Own delivery from problem definition through rollout and ongoing operations
- Maintain high engineering standards and improve system performance and user experience
- Hire, coach, and mentor engineers
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of engineering management experience, managing teams of 5+ engineers
- 8+ years of full-time software development experience
- Experience building reusable, extensible software at scale with strong user empathy
- Track record of prioritizing ambiguous goals and delivering multiple high-impact workstreams
- Experience fostering supportive teams with candid feedback and high expectations
- Technical depth to guide architecture and product design tradeoffs
- Ability to independently own initiatives and move work forward

- Strong product and design judgment, including simplifying complex experiences
- Experience building relationships and making decisions across teams
