What you'll do
- Lead enterprise technical evaluations, POCs, competitive bake-offs, security reviews, and production onboarding.
- Design production architectures covering sizing, sharding, replication, ingestion, tiered storage, and cost.
- Develop migration plans, including dual-run, validation, and cutover.
- Support security, compliance, data residency, and private deployment requirements.
- Partner with Enterprise AEs on technical wins and total-cost-of-ownership cases.
- Bring customer feedback to Product and Engineering and create reusable technical resources.
What we're looking for
- Professional fluency in Mandarin and English.
- Deep data-infrastructure experience and production experience operating analytical databases.
- Distributed systems expertise, including partitioning, replication, consistency, and query execution.
- Architecture-level knowledge of modern data stacks, cloud platforms, and Kafka or CDC pipelines.
- Experience winning a technical evaluation against a named competitor and planning migration from the incumbent.
- Customer-facing experience and strong communication across technical and executive stakeholders.
- Comfort managing long enterprise sales cycles and assessing when ClickHouse is not the right fit.
Nice to have
- Technical sales experience in the Greater China market.
- Familiarity with Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, or Huawei Cloud and regional enterprise data ecosystems.
- Open-source community experience.
- Experience working remotely in a global, distributed organization.
