Field CTO

About this role

Serve as a strategic technical advisor to GitLab’s largest prospects and customers, guiding DevSecOps transformations and enterprise solution strategy. Build executive relationships, support major growth opportunities, and bring customer and market insights back to GitLab’s product organization.

The team

Strategic Field Organization, reporting to the Global Head of Field CTOs.

What you'll do

• Build customer executive relationships that support large deals and customer success
• Provide executive-level thought leadership on strategic new-logo and growth opportunities
• Gather field feedback and collaborate with Product on roadmap and prioritization
• Develop regional expertise through field enablement and content
• Advocate for customers in DevSecOps transformation initiatives
• Maintain industry and technology expertise to shape solution and product strategy

What we're looking for

• Significant experience as a CTO or Principal Solutions Architect, including enterprise software development workflow architecture
• Experience delivering information security, cybersecurity, and compliance solutions or assessments
• Experience with software development tools, practices, and methodologies
• Strong communication skills across executive and technical audiences
• Willingness to learn and use GitLab as an integral part of the role
• Ability to travel and comply with company travel policy
