Field Service Team Lead (Installations) – Midlands, UK

About this role

Lead a team installing and commissioning retail camera systems at customer sites across the Midlands. The role involves hands-on installation work, customer coordination, safety oversight, and ensuring projects meet quality and speed KPIs. It is a six-month fixed-term contract requiring night and weekend work, with at least 30 hours per week.

What you'll do

• Lead and coordinate technicians during on-site installations
• Install, connect, configure, and onboard camera hardware
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and customer briefings
• Resolve or escalate on-site issues and keep customers updated
• Review and sign off installations against quality standards
• Record work, parts, and time using company tools
• Enforce safe use of power tools and installation procedures
• Train team members and meet installation speed and quality KPIs

What we're looking for

• Field technician experience in installation, construction, or a related field, with some leadership experience
• Ability to lead and coordinate a small team under time pressure
• Technical troubleshooting skills for hardware and software
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment
• Physical stamina for demanding work on your feet for up to nine hours
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation
• Availability for night and weekend work
