What you'll do
- Own the month-end close, reconciliations and timely reporting
- Maintain the general ledger and balance sheet across two UK and US entities
- Coordinate statutory accounts, audits, tax and regulatory activities
- Review and process UK payroll
- Produce management cost reporting and financial analysis
- Investigate large, multi-system datasets and resolve anomalies
- Maintain Google Sheets workbooks supporting the financial model
- Oversee financial controls, advise business teams and document processes
What we're looking for
- Independently manage complex month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations and management reporting
- Advanced Google Sheets skills, including complex formulas and large datasets
- Apply sound accounting judgement while balancing pace, accuracy and control
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret wider business implications
- Communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues in a remote environment
Nice to have
- Experience in an international, multi-entity, subscription, marketplace or technology business
- Qualified accountant or equivalent experience with technically complex financial work
- Experience supporting multi-jurisdiction audits, tax compliance or regulatory reporting
- Experience improving finance systems, automating reporting or reducing manual processing
