Financial Data Sales Associate, APAC

About this role

Own the full sales process for Databento’s real-time and historical financial market data platform in the APAC region. The role combines technical customer support and sales, helping developers and quantitative trading firms evaluate and use the product.

Stack

What you'll do

• Manage the technical sales process, answer customer questions, provide data samples, and troubleshoot data issues
• Create reusable market-data examples and use cases
• Collect customer feedback, testimonials, and case studies
• Maintain accurate forecasts and organized CRM records
• Build relationships with industry executives, partners, and customers
• Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors
• Collaborate across teams to support company goals and a smooth customer experience

What we're looking for

• Experience across the end-to-end sales pipeline, including prospecting, upselling, channel sales, customer success, and forecasting
• Ability to communicate effectively with developers and quantitative professionals
• Attention to detail and strong record-keeping; ability to automate processes in HubSpot
• Professional communication suited to institutional financial products
• Customer-focused sales approach, including identifying pain points and recognizing when the product is not a fit
• Comfort working in a startup with limited resources

Nice to have

• Experience with quantitative trading and market microstructure
• Active GitHub usage
• Working knowledge of Python, C++, or Rust
