What you'll do
- Build and ship interactive analytics dashboards and data visualizations.
- Develop reusable visualization components and charting standards for Stripe’s design system.
- Define frontend integration strategies and API contracts for partner teams.
- Optimize rendering performance and state management for large datasets and real-time telemetry.
- Provide technical mentorship through reviews and pairing.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Infrastructure, and Analytics teams.
What we're looking for
- At least 2 years of relevant frontend development or creative technology experience.
- Advanced React and modern TypeScript/JavaScript skills, plus HTML5 and CSS/Sass.
- Experience building interactive charts or visualizations with a focus on data density and visual hierarchy.
- Strong track record of writing clear, well-tested code collaboratively.
- Experience building responsive web applications across modern browsers, screen sizes, and devices.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Portfolio or codebase demonstrating dashboards, custom charting, creative tools, or design systems.
- Strong grasp of typography, layout, color theory, data density, and visual proportion.
- Experience with complex client-side state, caching, and real-time data fetching.
- React expertise in animation, interaction refinement, and rendering performance.
- Experience with chart accessibility, A/B testing, synthetic monitoring, or performance profiling.
