What you'll do
- Set the technical vision, target architecture, and phased roadmap for financial systems.
- Lead, coach, and grow specialists across financial systems, data engineering, integrations, and ledger services.
- Improve financial data quality, lineage, ownership, reconciliation, and auditability.
- Guide architecture for ledgers, subledgers, financial data models, APIs, and fiat and crypto integrations.
- Modernize and migrate systems while keeping close, reporting, and critical Finance operations running.
- Establish testing, observability, documentation, release controls, and incident response practices.
- Move key reconciliations from monthly to daily and reduce the time to diagnose reconciliation breaks.
What we're looking for
- Significant software engineering and technical leadership experience in complex financial systems or data architecture.
- Deep understanding of ledgers, double-entry accounting, reconciliation, settlement, and auditable financial records.
- Experience with crypto or digital asset infrastructure and its connections to traditional financial systems.
- Strong technical judgment in distributed systems, data engineering, APIs, event-driven processing, and integrations.
- Experience delivering architecture transformations across fragmented or legacy systems while maintaining production reliability.
- Ability to lead technical teams and translate Finance and control needs into an engineering roadmap.
Nice to have
- Experience with Rust, TypeScript/Node.js, or Python.
- Experience with NetSuite, Kyriba, or BlackLine.
- Experience in SOX or SOC control environments.
