What you'll do
- Own the company’s security posture across production infrastructure and code.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement improvements to security controls.
- Establish and strengthen incident response and monitoring.
- Promote security practices across the company through collaborative, incremental changes.
- Lead the company’s AI-security posture.
- Determine when to expand the security function and hire a team.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on security experience at a company that has scaled, ideally as an early security hire.
- Deep expertise in at least one of product/production security, security operations, or access/identity and policy.
- Ability to reason across security domains and define security posture.
- Engineering mindset and ability to understand code and infrastructure.
- Sound risk judgment and ability to balance security with business needs.
- Strong communication and collaborative change-management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience building or co-building a small security team.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or a regulated industry.
