What you'll do
- Write maintainable, efficient code and contribute to code reviews.
- Ship small features independently and collaborate on larger projects.
- Improve product reliability, security, and performance.
- Identify and address technical debt.
- Participate in asynchronous agile practices and Tier 2 on-call rotations.
What we're looking for
- Proficiency with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Experience writing testable Ruby on Rails code.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Ability to work independently in an asynchronous, collaborative environment.
- Communicate complex technical problems clearly and propose iterative solutions.
- Work effectively with product managers, designers, and engineers.
Nice to have
