What you'll do
- Build and maintain mobile SDKs and verification experiences.
- Create accessible document- and selfie-capture flows for varied devices and conditions.
- Design extensible SDK APIs and reusable components for customer integrations.
- Deliver features across mobile clients, APIs, and services.
- Improve performance, reliability, observability, testing, and release processes.
- Diagnose production issues and incorporate feedback from Stripe users.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of professional software-development experience, including shipping mobile apps or SDKs.
- Experience developing for a major mobile platform, such as iOS with Swift or Objective-C.
- Strong software-design fundamentals and experience building maintainable APIs, components, or frameworks.
- Experience integrating mobile functionality with APIs, services, local state, or device capabilities.
- Experience testing, debugging, monitoring, and improving production mobile software.
- Effective collaboration skills and commitment to high-quality user and developer experiences.
Nice to have
- Experience building mobile SDKs, shared libraries, or developer-facing APIs.
- Experience with Android or cross-platform technologies such as React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Camera, image-processing, document-capture, biometrics, or other device-integrated experience.
- Experience applying security and privacy principles to sensitive data.
- Familiarity with accessibility, internationalization, performance, unreliable networks, mobile CI, testing, release automation, or observability.
