IT Manager

About this role

Build and run the technology environment for OpenRouter’s first New York office while supporting its global remote workforce. The role combines hands-on office IT, employee support, device and access administration, and vendor coordination.

Stack

What you'll do

• Set up and maintain conference-room and All Hands AV, digital displays, and office network and Wi-Fi.
• Manage badge access, visitor badges, and access logs.
• Deploy desk equipment and provide in-office and remote IT support.
• Administer SSO, MDM, access changes, and MacBook configuration and fleet standards.
• Coordinate with Workplace Operations on office build-out and moves.
• Partner with People on employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding.
• Manage IT vendors, including MSPs, AV installers, ISPs, and hardware suppliers.

What we're looking for

• Several years of hands-on IT operations experience.
• Experience setting up office AV, conference rooms, enterprise networking, and physical access control.
• Admin-level fluency with SSO and MDM for a Mac-first fleet.
• Experience hiring and managing outsourced IT vendors.
• Strong, proactive communication, empathy, and composure under pressure.
• Ability to document, script, or standardize fixes to prevent recurring issues.

Nice to have

• ITIL, CompTIA, or Cisco certifications.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR compliance environments.
• Experience supporting IT through mergers and acquisitions.
