What you'll do
- Improve ingestion pipeline throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Design ClickHouse schemas and optimize queries, inserts, and merge strategies.
- Build infrastructure for features such as asynchronous evaluation, alerting, and batch operations.
- Use load tests and production data to validate schema and query changes.
- Operate Langfuse Cloud and improve self-hosted deployments.
What we're looking for
- Strong backend engineering skills and interest in database internals and distributed systems.
- Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing.
- Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript and SQL.
- Self-directed, with strong ownership of technical decisions and delivery.
- Interested in open source and engaging with users about scaling challenges.
Nice to have
- Experience with ClickHouse, OLAP databases, or observability infrastructure.
