Langfuse - Senior Software Engineer, SDK

About this role

Own and improve Langfuse’s Python and TypeScript SDKs, focusing on reliability, performance, and developer experience. Build and maintain integrations across AI frameworks and model providers, support the OpenTelemetry endpoint, and create public SDK documentation.

What you'll do

• Maintain SDK reliability, performance, and developer experience across production environments.
• Design developer-friendly APIs and manage versioning, compatibility, and migration paths.
• Maintain and build integrations with AI frameworks and model providers.
• Maintain the OpenTelemetry endpoint and support its feature coverage.
• Write SDK documentation, integration guides, and migration paths.

What we're looking for

• Experience building or maintaining SDKs, client libraries, or developer tools, ideally in Python or TypeScript.
• Ability to profile and benchmark software and reduce CPU and memory overhead.
• Sound judgment around versioning, backward compatibility, and migrations.
• Able to independently manage projects and deliver outcomes.
• Interest in open source and engaging with developers about integration challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry internals or observability instrumentation.
• Early-stage startup or founder experience.
• Contributions to open-source SDKs or developer tools.
• ML/AI background or familiarity with LLM frameworks.
• CS or quantitative degree.
