Lead the Dev AI team building AI infrastructure and tools that improve developer productivity across Airbnb. Shape technical strategy and product direction for agentic coding tools, AI workflows, internal AI development SDKs, and code migration tools.

Dev AI team, serving as a developer platform and internal AI consultancy.

What you'll do

• Help shape and drive the AI for Developers strategy and align architecture and product direction with Staff+ engineers
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and balance experimentation with measurable developer impact
• Coach and consult teams across Airbnb on adopting AI capabilities
• Build relationships and working agreements with partner teams and stakeholders
• Coach and mentor team members and contribute to organizational culture

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of full-time management experience
• Experience coaching and supporting Staff+ and Senior engineers
• Experience managing a remote or distributed team
• Experience building developer infrastructure, tooling, or platforms at scale
• Experience applying AI to real-world software development challenges
• Ability to ramp up quickly in new domains, technologies, or languages
• Excellent cross-functional partnership, written communication, and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with widely used industry tools, frameworks, or systems
