What you'll do
- Set the team's technical strategy and connect it to impactful underwriting projects
- Advocate for technical solutions and operational processes
- Partner with product, design, analytics, and risk throughout product development
- Mentor engineers through feedback, guidance, and example
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 8+ years of industry experience
- 3+ years managing engineers
- Background in financial services, particularly credit or lending
- Machine learning experience with tree-based models, transformers, deep learning, and agentic ML
- Strong engineering skills and ability to provide hands-on technical leadership
- Comfort working across low-level code and large-system architecture in ambiguous environments

- Experience applying agentic machine learning
