Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

Help major studios, brands, and enterprises move Runway’s AI products from evaluation to production. You’ll identify customer blockers, build and deploy tailored workflows and integrations, and turn successful solutions into reusable product capabilities.

What you'll do

• Identify customer workflow and technical blockers to production.
• Build tailored demos, proofs of concept, workflows, plugins, and integrations.
• Turn successful customer-specific solutions into reusable product features.
• Own technical evaluations, managed trials, and deployment engagements.
• Help customers reach production quickly and improve onboarding.
• Present technical pipelines and deployment plans to executive and engineering audiences.
• Bring customer feedback and recurring needs to Product, Engineering, and Creative.
• Track customer outcomes such as time to production and product usage.

What we're looking for

• Build and debug production-ready tools using Python or TypeScript, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Have shipped a workflow, integration, plugin, or internal tool used by customers.
• Have deployed AI or ML systems and integrations in complex organizations, with measurable outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with both executives and engineering teams.
• Have at least 3 years of customer-facing technical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, BigQuery, or Retool.
• Experience in media, entertainment, or advertising production.
