Operations Associate, Financial Crimes (AML Investigations)

Conduct end-to-end AML investigations, review transaction-monitoring alerts, and assess potentially suspicious activity. Document findings and recommendations, and draft and file SARs/STRs with relevant Financial Intelligence Units.

The team

Anti Money Laundering (AML) team within Stripe’s Financial Crimes organization in the Stripe Delivery Center.

What you'll do

• Investigate alerts using transaction analysis, open-source research, and public records.
• Document investigative rationale and recommendations.
• Draft and file SARs/STRs with relevant Financial Intelligence Units.
• Review and disposition transaction-monitoring alerts.
• Maintain operational excellence across workstreams and exercise sound judgment in high-risk cases.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of analytical or investigative experience, preferably in financial crime, AML, risk, threat analysis, or fraud.
• Strong English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of financial-crime typologies and patterns.
• Ability to synthesize transaction data and identify trends.
• Able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to evaluate information from multiple sources and determine appropriate action.

Nice to have

• Payments or fintech industry experience.
• Previous experience in a compliance function.
• ACAMS or similar certification.
