About this role

Own the operational health of Mews’ card payment flows, ensuring merchants are paid accurately and on time across multiple markets. Investigate payment incidents, monitor provider performance, and turn recurring failures into stronger controls, reporting, and workflows.

About the company

Mews builds a cloud property management platform that helps hotels run operations and improve guest experiences.

What you'll do

  • Monitor payout timeliness, authorisation rates, SLA breaches, dispute readiness, and fee accuracy
  • Own incidents from triage through resolution, tracking communication and SLAs
  • Investigate payment failures, validate data quality, and identify root causes
  • Improve controls, processes, dashboards, and operating playbooks
  • Produce weekly KPI reporting and monthly provider performance summaries
  • Coordinate escalations with internal teams, merchants, and payment providers
  • Support provider onboarding, new markets, and feature launches
  • Use AI to detect anomalies and create repeatable operational workflows

What we're looking for

  • Experience in payment operations, ideally with embedded payments or a global card acquirer
  • Strong knowledge of the card transaction lifecycle, including authorisation, settlement, payouts, and chargebacks
  • Experience with card-heavy payment flows across multiple markets
  • Sound incident judgement and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to own operational KPIs and use data to identify risks and improvements
  • Clear communication with internal teams, merchants, and external providers
  • Practical AI fluency, including building repeatable workflows and validating AI-assisted work

Nice to have

  • Experience with Stripe, Adyen, Airwallex, or another global payment provider
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Slack, Power BI, or Databricks
  • Experience in disputes, financial crime, fraud, or transaction monitoring
  • Experience in regulated financial services

Benefits

  • Unlimited paid holiday
  • Company share program
  • Paid parental leave: six months for primary caregivers and two months for secondary caregivers, after one year of service
  • Annual learning budget of €300, with additional budget for high performers
  • Flexible hybrid working and the option to work abroad for a few weeks each year
  • Home office setup budget and monthly work-from-home allowance
  • Relocation options after one year
  • Claude tokens for workflow automation
