Platform Software Engineer - Staff/Principal

Build and evolve Seeq’s internal platform, including infrastructure and services that help engineering teams deploy and operate software products. The role focuses on scalable, secure, reliable systems and includes hands-on technical leadership at the Staff or Principal level.

Stack

What you'll do

• Design and build internal platform services and shared capabilities
• Evolve system interfaces and migrate existing functionality to new services and infrastructure
• Optimize infrastructure for scalability, reliability, cost, and performance
• Build multi-tenant clusters and improve software delivery
• Integrate security best practices into platform development
• Mentor engineers and provide technical direction

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems work
• Strong backend experience with Go or Python
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and microservice architectures
• Experience building reliable platforms for data-intensive applications
• Background in system architecture, production migrations, and infrastructure optimization
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in remote, cross-functional environments
