About this role
Lead field research and synthesize customer and commercial-team insights to inform LaunchDarkly’s pricing and packaging decisions. Evaluate alternatives and provide evidence-based recommendations that balance customer value, business impact, and practical field execution. This is an individual-contributor role with a defined project mandate expected to run 3–6 months.
About the company

What you'll do
- Design and lead structured field research, including interviews, listening sessions, and deal reviews.

- Evaluate options, risks, tradeoffs, and potential commercial impacts; recommend decisions to senior leaders.
- Partner across Finance, Product, Revenue Operations, Deal Management, and customer-facing functions.
- Translate approved decisions into field guidance and identify operating-model gaps in tools, training, or processes.
- Maintain a reusable record of field evidence, decisions, and open questions; deliver a durable final readout.
What we're looking for
- Experience in pricing and packaging, commercial strategy, revenue operations, sales strategy, deal desk, solutions engineering, customer success, or a related B2B SaaS function.
- Experience working with customer-facing teams and interpreting feedback from live customer or deal contexts.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs, and make clear recommendations.
- Strong commercial judgment across customer value, field behavior, business impact, and operational tradeoffs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with executive stakeholders and field practitioners.
- Ability to work independently and deliver a defined project mandate within 3–6 months.
- Sound judgment handling confidential customer, deal, pricing, and employee information.
