Processing Cost Analyst

About this role

Support Stripe’s payment processing cost accounting, applying US GAAP and ASC 606 to product and business activities. Build scalable accounting processes and controls, support close and reporting, and collaborate with product, finance, systems, and engineering partners.

Stack

What you'll do

• Build scalable processes for global payment processing cost accounting.
• Advise partners on accounting implications of new products, features, and contracts.
• Improve financial systems and automate accounting processes with systems and engineering teams.
• Assess internal controls and design controls for emerging business activities.
• Maintain accounting procedures and perform monthly and quarterly close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial reporting.
• Produce management analyses and support external audits.

What we're looking for

• Professional accountancy qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with close processes, journal entries, audits, regulatory reporting, financial statements, and accounting systems.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, and experience with internal controls.
• Strong Excel problem-solving, process automation, collaboration, and adaptability skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology or payments.
• Experience with Oracle Suite, SQL, or data-analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, KNIME, Python, or Alteryx.
