What you'll do
- Lead design of core editor experiences, from identifying opportunities through shipping and iteration
- Set and champion a vision for the editor with product and engineering partners
- Prototype ways AI, code, and direct manipulation can work together while preserving creative control
- Use research, product data, and observation to test assumptions and refine design decisions
- Contribute to design critiques, mentor peers, and share best practices
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of product design experience, including leading complex software projects
- Portfolio demonstrating shipped interaction design and visual craft
- Ability to guide decisions with structured thinking, clear rationale, and user-centered research
- Strong skills in resolving ambiguity in complex systems and creating simple solutions
- Experience researching, prototyping, or building products with AI or emerging tools
Nice to have
- Experience designing creative tools, editors, canvas interfaces, or direct-manipulation interactions
- Design/development hybrid background or experience building websites or apps
- Experience with canvas-based interfaces or creative workflows
- Code-based prototyping, front-end development, or design-to-implementation workflows
