Security Specialist Solutions Architect

About this role

Serve as the security specialist overlay for ClickHouse’s Americas Solutions Architecture team, supporting customer deals where security, data residency, or regulatory compliance are central. Advise security leaders on ClickHouse Cloud and BYOC architectures, lead security reviews through production readiness, and strengthen reusable security materials and field enablement.

Stack

What you'll do

• Lead customer security and compliance discussions with CISOs, security architects, and GRC teams.
• Design and validate secure deployment patterns covering network isolation, private connectivity, encryption, key management, identity federation, and access control.
• Run threat modelling and architecture reviews, and own security workstreams through POCs and production readiness.
• Support security questionnaires, RFPs, DPIAs, and third-party risk reviews; build a reusable answer library.
• Develop the AMER Solutions Architecture security playbook and enable account teams.

What we're looking for

• Significant customer-facing technical experience at a data platform, analytics, streaming, or database company.
• Deep knowledge of cloud and data security, including IAM, cryptography and key management, network isolation, secure multi-tenancy, threat modelling, and audit.
• Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and U.S. public-sector and privacy requirements.
• Confidence and credibility engaging with CISOs and security buyers.

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP, CMMC, and state privacy requirements such as CCPA/CPRA.
