About this role

Own the full sales cycle for Mercury working-capital products, including term loans and rolling lines, targeting high-growth businesses with $20M–$500M in annual revenue. Build a self-sourced pipeline, assess customers’ capital needs, and work with underwriting and company leadership to structure and close credit-sound deals.

About the company

Mercury provides banking and financial software for startups, combining business accounts, cards, and money-management tools designed for venture-backed companies.

What you'll do

  • Source and develop pipeline through outbound prospecting, campaigns, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Lead discovery into customers’ growth, cash flow, and capital needs, then partner with underwriting to structure offers.
  • Build internal consensus across underwriting and executives while maintaining credit quality.
  • Manage complex, long sales cycles with founders, CFOs, and existing banking relationships.
  • Negotiate deal terms that balance customer needs with Mercury’s credit discipline.
  • Expand customer relationships into other Mercury products, including banking, credit cards, and treasury.
  • Share market and customer insights to inform working-capital underwriting and pricing.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying experience closing credit, lending, or capital-product sales.
  • Track record selling to businesses generating $20M+ annually, ideally in ecommerce or adjacent industries.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow, underwriting considerations, and deal structuring.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to self-source pipeline through outbound prospecting and relationship-building.
  • Curiosity about how growing businesses operate financially and enthusiasm for solving capital needs.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with MEDDICC or a similar sales methodology.

Benefits

  • Equity (stock options or RSUs)
