What you'll do
- Run monthly close and prepare quarterly and year-end accounting work for assigned entities
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank, asset, liability, billing, and general-ledger accounts
- Manage Stripe invoicing, payment application, subscription revenue, and deferred revenue
- Monitor receivables and resolve routine customer billing questions
- Prepare sales-tax reports, tax schedules, and audit support documentation
- Review expense coding and documentation, and investigate budget variances with budget owners
- Document workflows, strengthen controls, and improve reconciliations and system integrations
What we're looking for
- Hands-on accounting experience owning recurring month-end closes and balance-sheet reconciliations
- SaaS or subscription accounting experience, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and billing-to-ledger reconciliations
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team
Nice to have
- Experience with Stripe, QuickBooks, or comparable systems
- Experience supporting audits, preparing sales-tax schedules, or improving accounting controls and workflows
- Experience working across multiple entities or currencies
