Senior Accountant (Europe - Remote)

About this role

Own month-end close workstreams across multiple entities and help the company move toward a five-day close. The role focuses on accurate reconciliations, subscription revenue workflows, AP controls, and improving finance processes.

What you'll do

• Manage close deliverables, journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and variance explanations.
• Reconcile cash across 20+ multi-entity, multi-currency bank and payment accounts.
• Resolve billing-to-ERP issues and support NetSuite revenue recognition.
• Maintain AP and spend controls in Payhawk, including coding, approvals, and sync exceptions.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity and resolve recurring issues at their root cause.
• Document procedures, strengthen controls, and reduce manual work.
• Provide ad hoc accounting support and assist with tax return preparation as needed.

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of accounting experience with ownership of month-end close.
• Strong reconciliation and documentation skills.
• ERP experience; NetSuite is strongly preferred.
• Proactive communication and high ownership in a fast-moving remote environment.

Nice to have

• SaaS subscription billing or revenue experience, especially with Chargebee.
• Experience with Payhawk or similar AP and spend tools.
• Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience.
