What you'll do
- Build backend services and APIs for user access, account hierarchies, settings, and administration workflows.
- Own features from design and implementation through testing, rollout, observability, and production support.
- Apply secure authorization and data-modeling practices to multi-tenant account relationships.
- Investigate production issues and improve reliability, performance, and observability.
- Write and review code, automated tests, design documents, runbooks, and support guidance.
- Collaborate with Product, frontend, and platform teams; mentor engineers.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building production software.
- Experience designing and operating backend services and APIs end to end.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Experience with a cloud platform and containerized applications such as Docker.
- Focus on testing, production reliability, observability, and clear technical communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, RBAC, SSO, audit logs, delegated administration, or account hierarchies.
- Experience with Python or Go, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Kubernetes, or CI/CD.
- Familiarity with feature flags, metrics, tracing, alerting, Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
- Cybersecurity experience or experience building customer-facing platform capabilities.
