What you'll do
- Design, architect, integrate, implement, and document customer projects.
- Conduct research, benchmarking, performance and functional testing, sizing, and migrations.
- Provide consultative support for onboarding, production launches, and proofs of concept.
- Handle L1–L3 support cases when not assigned to customer projects.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales on product roadmap and account plans.
- Create documentation, knowledge-base content, reference architectures, blogs, and benchmark results.
- Mentor new team members and support hiring.
- Participate in on-call scheduling and travel onsite regionally up to an estimated 35%.
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of experience in professional services, support, technical account management, engineering/SRE, or project management.
- At least 5 years implementing, operating, or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant distributed database systems.
- Strong technical breadth across databases, OLAP, cloud/SaaS, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, or big data.
- Experience leading and delivering large technical projects with experienced engineers.
- Expertise with a public cloud provider and its infrastructure services.
Nice to have
- Hands-on ClickHouse experience.
- Experience with open-source technologies or communities.
- Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ.
