Senior Counsel – Product (Asia-Pacific)

What you'll do

• Support APAC product launches across the Payward product suite
• Act as a gatekeeper for new outside counsel engagements
• Translate regulatory frameworks into actionable guidance
• Use AI-assisted tools for licensing analysis and submissions
• Own APAC regulatory workload under supervision
• Manage licensing in markets like Kazakhstan and Pakistan
• Coordinate licensing initiatives in key APAC markets

What we're looking for

• Qualified lawyer in Singapore, Hong Kong or equivalent
• 10+ years' PQE in financial services regulatory law
• Ability to independently manage regulatory relationships
• Strong experience with financial regulatory landscape in APAC
• Proven ability to supervise local counsel
• Knowledge of AML/CTF obligations
• Outstanding analytical and drafting skills
• Ability to distill complex issues into clear guidance

Nice to have

• Experience with virtual asset regulation in APAC
• Familiarity with derivatives and tokenised instruments
• Experience with regulatory aspects of corporate transactions
• Experience with payments and e-money regulation
• Proficiency in a second APAC language
• Interest in crypto and familiarity with various financial products
