About this role

Lead delivery of leased and partner data center capacity, from deal readiness through construction, commissioning, and operational handoff. The role is highly site-based and focuses on accelerating delivery while protecting safety, quality, and Anthropic’s technical requirements.

About the company

Anthropic builds reliable and interpretable AI systems, including the Claude family of models, for businesses and developers. The company focuses on AI safety research and practical AI assistants for enterprise and consumer use.

What you'll do

  • Lead project teams and partners at data center sites, shaping delivery culture and improving execution.
  • Validate project and transaction readiness from letter of intent through lease execution.
  • Coordinate landlords, developers, contractors, and internal stakeholders; track construction progress and resolve blockers.
  • Represent Anthropic in technical and operational decisions during development.
  • Coordinate handoffs with networking and deployment teams to enable rapid workload turn-up.
  • Report progress against plan and support capacity planning and executive decisions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks affecting schedule, cost, or technical requirements.
  • Develop and improve facility delivery processes and playbooks.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of senior site leadership in data center delivery, construction, or large-scale infrastructure deployment.
  • End-to-end data center development experience, including permitting, planning, supply chain, execution, commissioning, and handover.
  • Ability to lead delivery directly, make decisions, and guide execution with limited processes or support.
  • Comfort working both on construction sites with trades and with executives on commercial and delivery matters.
  • Strong ownership, adaptability, and ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, including high-density power and advanced cooling.
  • Leadership experience with a GC or EPC on hyperscale data center projects, or self-performing hyperscale development.
  • Experience with lease negotiations, construction contracts, or real estate development.
  • Ability to build high-performing cultures and align commercial incentives around faster delivery.

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours
  • Generous vacation and parental leave
  • Optional equity donation matching
