Own and improve LocalStack’s internal cloud infrastructure and cloud operations. The role focuses on AWS multi-account environments, security and compliance, workforce identity, internal services, reliability, and cost management.

What you'll do

• Own internal cloud infrastructure and handle cloud operations requests.
• Manage and improve multi-account cloud environments, security, governance, and compliance.
• Maintain continuous readiness for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 audits.
• Manage workforce identity and access, including SSO, MFA, and joiner/mover/leaver processes.
• Operate and secure self-hosted internal services.
• Monitor cloud security posture, reliability, and infrastructure costs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability and scalability.

What we're looking for

• Deep AWS experience with Organizations, Control Tower, landing zones, IAM/SCPs, security services, VPCs, and multi-AZ networking.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, including module design, state management, and environment promotion.
• Experience evolving existing infrastructure to meet security and compliance standards.
• Experience with IdP-backed SSO/MFA and centralized access management.
• Experience operating shared, self-hosted internal tools.
• Knowledge of observability, alerting, on-call, and cloud cost management.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, and/or Go; comfortable with ambiguity and remote-first work.

Nice to have

• Azure experience or interest in working with a multi-cloud environment.
• Previous SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit or certification experience.
