What you'll do
- Lead accounting, FP&A, tax, treasury, and finance operations
- Manage and develop the finance team
- Oversee financial close, reporting, reconciliations, accounting policies, and internal controls
- Oversee revenue accounting across donations, subscriptions, enterprise arrangements, and partnerships
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis
- Manage tax, audit, VAT/GST, corporate filings, and external advisers
- Strengthen financial systems, workflows, documentation, and controls
- Advise leaders with clear analysis and recommendations
What we're looking for
- 15+ years of relevant finance experience across accounting, FP&A, and finance operations
- Significant U.S. GAAP accounting or controllership experience, including close, controls, and revenue recognition
- 5+ years of finance or accounting people-management experience
- Experience with subscription, SaaS, digital-product, enterprise, or similar technology revenue models
- Experience with partner-led commercial arrangements and related reporting, controls, and revenue recognition
- Working knowledge of payment platforms, merchant-of-record arrangements, and international VAT/GST
- Experience supporting international operations and managing tax, audit, and external finance requirements
- Strong communication, judgment, and financial analysis skills

- Experience in a subsidiary or affiliated organizational structure
- Experience establishing a legal entity or entering a new jurisdiction
- Familiarity with Intacct, Ramp, or comparable systems
- Experience in a mission-driven, open-source, or nonprofit-affiliated organization
