Senior Manager, Quality Engineering

About this role

Lead quality engineering across Sardine’s platform and customer-facing delivery as the company expands into banking and global markets. You’ll manage a distributed QA team and establish testing standards, release controls, and audit-ready evidence for regulated financial institutions.

Stack

What you'll do

• Own QA strategy across the platform and customer-facing delivery.
• Lead a globally distributed team of QA engineers.
• Establish test standards, coverage metrics, release criteria, and audit-ready evidence.
• Lead quality incident triage, root-cause analysis, prevention, and communication.
• Improve test automation, CI/release gating, and regression coverage.
• Support UAT, acceptance testing, and integration validation for bank and enterprise deployments.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of software quality experience, including 2+ years managing QA or Quality Engineering teams.
• Experience owning quality in banking, payments, fintech, or another regulated domain.
• Knowledge of audits, UAT, and documented test governance.
• Experience with test automation, CI/CD gating, coverage measurement, and manual and exploratory testing.
• Hands-on experience building test automation with Cypress or similar tools.
• Experience building distributed teams across time zones and cultures.
• Ability to define and report quality KPIs.
