What you'll do
- Own visual and interaction quality from early concepts through production.
- Make complex privacy and security features intuitive without oversimplifying them.
- Create visual systems that scale across products and users.
- Design meaningful motion, transitions, and micro-interactions.
- Create icons, illustrations, and other visual assets consistent with Proton’s visual language.
- Contribute to design critiques and the shared design system.
- Partner with product managers and engineers from early planning through implementation.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years designing and shipping consumer digital products, ideally across B2C and B2B.
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft across real products.
- Ability to simplify complex problems into intuitive interfaces.
- Experience building and evolving design systems.
- Experience designing motion and micro-interactions for production interfaces.
- High proficiency in Figma, including interactive prototyping.
- Ownership mindset and willingness to address quality issues beyond assigned work.
Nice to have
- Background in visual communication, graphic design, typography, illustration, or motion design.
- Portfolio work in illustration, iconography, or visual identity.
- Familiarity with front-end implementation and HTML/CSS constraints.
