Senior Reconciliations and Payments Analyst (fixed term cover)

About this role

Own daily reconciliation operations, ensuring client balances match cash held in banks and resolving discrepancies with internal teams and external payment partners. The fixed-term maternity cover is expected to last around five months, with a possible extension. The role may also contribute to automation projects.

What you'll do

• Monitor daily reconciliations and investigate cash or balance mismatches
• Drive reconciliation breaks to resolution with engineering, banks, and payment providers
• Support vendor, regulatory, and month-end reporting
• Use Excel and BI tools to monitor reconciliation data
• Help automate manual reconciliation processes
• Handle occasional manual money transfers
• Coordinate with engineering, treasury, and external banking partners

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience in reconciliation, payment operations, or treasury operations
• Comfortable using Excel and data visualization or BI tools
• Understanding of payment schemes and money flows between banks and internal systems
• High attention to detail when handling financial operations
• Adaptable in a fast-changing environment
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
• Open to an approximately five-month fixed-term contract

Nice to have

• Fintech or neobank experience
• Mathematical or quantitative background
• Experience improving or automating reconciliation workflows
• Basic SQL or data analysis skills
