Senior Reconciliations and Payments Analyst (fixed term cover)

Own daily payment reconciliations, investigate breaks, and coordinate with internal teams and external banking partners to resolve discrepancies. The role is a roughly five-month fixed-term maternity cover, with potential for extension, and may include contributions to reconciliation automation.

What you'll do

• Monitor daily reconciliations between bank cash and client balances; investigate mismatches
• Resolve reconciliation breaks by coordinating with engineering, banks, and payment providers
• Support vendor, regulatory, and month-end reporting
• Use Excel and data visualization tools to monitor reconciliation data
• Contribute to automating manual reconciliation processes
• Handle occasional manual money transfers
• Coordinate with engineering, treasury, and external banking partners

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience in reconciliation, payment operations, or treasury operations
• Excel skills and experience with data visualization or BI tools
• Working understanding of payment schemes and money flows between banks and internal systems
• High attention to detail when handling money movements
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
• Open to a roughly five-month fixed-term contract

Nice to have

• Fintech or neobank experience
• Mathematical or quantitative background
• Experience improving or automating reconciliation or payments workflows
• Basic SQL or data analysis skills
